Responsibilities

Lead the Braiding and Extrusion Center of Excellence by defining enterprise technology roadmaps and capability growth strategies.
Establish enterprise-level standards for manufacturing equipment, tooling, materials, automation, and process controls.
Partner with Operating Units, R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to align manufacturing technology investments with business objectives.
Provide technical leadership to production sites to optimize processes, improve yields, reduce defects, and scale capabilities.
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize emerging braiding and extrusion technologies through external partnerships with academia, suppliers, and industry leaders.
Oversee feasibility studies, proof-of-concept projects, and industrialization efforts to accelerate the deployment of ready technologies.
Ensure all advanced manufacturing processes and technologies adhere strictly to regulatory standards and operational excellence frameworks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 8 years of experience.
Demonstrated hands-on technical experience with braiding technologies, extrusion technologies, or both in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of developing and deploying manufacturing processes, tooling, or equipment into production.
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and initiatives across engineering, operations, and quality functions.
Nice to Have
Prior engineering or leadership experience within Medtronic manufacturing environments.
Deep technical expertise in wire/polymer braiding optimization, tension control, pick count tuning, or complex multi-lumen and specialty extrusion.
Experience developing enterprise-wide technology roadmaps and successfully executing global change initiatives without direct authority.

Work Environment

Operates in a hybrid work arrangement based onsite at the Danvers, Massachusetts facility four days per week.
Requires up to 25% travel to collaborate with manufacturing sites, technology partners, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Involves a collaborative, matrixed technical environment spanning multiple global sites, engineering teams, and operating units.
