Responsibilities
Design, analyze, and operate test systems for fluid, propulsion, mechanical, and electronic hardware.
Direct the physical and instrumentation integration of hardware into designated test facilities.
Analyze test data to verify engineering requirements and perform comprehensive performance reviews.
Conduct thorough test planning, risk assessments, safety evaluations, and mitigation strategies.
Develop test support software and equipment to increase testing frequency, repeatability, and data quality.
Identify, scope, and troubleshoot engineering issues that arise during test execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline earned within the last year.
Ability to start the position by Fall 2026.
Hands-on experience in a testing environment executing structured test procedures via internships, co-ops, or relevant research.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within rapid hardware development programs.
Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or refugee/asylee to comply with U.S. export control regulations.
Master's or advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering.
Familiarity with industry tools such as LabVIEW, AutoCAD P&ID, Winplot, Windchill, or PTC Creo.
Prior practical experience conducting hazard assessments and formal risk analyses.
Work Environment
Full-time, fixed-term position operating entirely on-site in Seattle, Washington.
Hands-on workplace co-located with engineering hardware, laboratory facilities, and test stands.
Collaborative culture focused on strict safety protocols, rapid problem-solving, and cross-functional inclusion.
Standard 40-hour work week with scheduling aligned to operational test campaigns.
