Responsibilities
Architect, implement, and manage enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines across on-premise virtual machines and Kubernetes environments.
Automate configuration, provisioning, monitoring, and deployment processes across hundreds of on-premise servers and containerized systems.
Define and enforce SRE, DevOps, and release engineering standards alongside robust security controls.
Design and maintain observability infrastructure using monitoring and logging tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
Lead capacity planning, root cause analysis, high-availability architecture, and annual disaster recovery exercises.
Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices to modernize release workflows.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional software teams to streamline delivery cycles.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems with at least 5 years of DevOps or platform engineering experience, or 10 or more years of equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated experience administering and scaling Linux environments across bare-metal, virtualized, and containerized architectures.
Proven track record of managing and scaling code collaboration platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
Hands-on experience designing and maintaining production CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks at scale.
Must meet U.S. ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, and be capable of passing Air Force background checks.
Advanced scripting or programming capabilities in Python, Bash, Go, or Groovy.
Proficiency with container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes distributions like Rancher, OpenShift, or Tanzu, alongside VMware virtualization.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role located at the headquarters in Hawthorne, California.
You will operate in a fast-paced, high-stakes engineering environment that demands high ownership and technical leadership.
The position may require flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when operational needs or launch schedules demand it.
Benefits & Perks
Base salary range of $155,000 to $215,000 per year, supplemented by long-term incentives, discretionary bonuses, and an employee stock purchase plan.
