Responsibilities
Deploy, administer, and maintain a distributed, enterprise-scale Splunk infrastructure.
Standardize Splunk agent configurations and platform deployments using automation frameworks.
Monitor platform performance, availability, and capacity to ensure continuous operational health.
Write complex Search Processing Language queries to power alerts and dashboards for Infosec and IT teams.
Troubleshoot issues across Splunk instances, search heads, indexers, and Universal Forwarders.
Manage data onboarding, field extractions, governance, and data enrichment across varied log sources.
Qualifications
At least two years of professional experience administering or implementing Splunk environments.
Demonstrated experience writing complex regular expressions for field mappings and pattern recognition.
Hands-on proficiency with automation frameworks such as Puppet or Ansible.
Must meet U.S. ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Splunk certifications such as Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect, Splunk Enterprise Security Admin, or Splunk Core Consultant.
Experience developing custom Splunk apps, modular inputs, or commands using Python.
Background in Linux system administration, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Familiarity with logging environments in aerospace, satellite communications, launch vehicles, or factory floors.
Work Environment
Based fully on-site at the SpaceX facility in Redmond, Washington, with no remote or hybrid options.
Requires willingness to work extended hours and weekends when operational needs or critical incidents arise.
Fast-paced, mission-critical engineering setting supporting continuous 24/7 operations.
Benefits & Perks
Base salary ranging from $130,000 to $200,000 across Level 1 and Level 2 tiers depending on experience.
