In this role, you will design and deliver mobile data collection solutions that integrate directly with SAP ERP systems to optimize warehouse and supply chain operations. You will act as a critical bridge between the technical implementation team and the customer, ensuring that business requirements for inventory management and manufacturing are translated into high-impact digital workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design and validate robust mobile data collection solutions integrated with SAP modules such as WM, EWM, IM, and MM.
- Engage with prospective clients during the pre-sales phase to deliver tailored product demonstrations and recommend technical solutions.
- Consult with customers to document business requirements and develop detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Lead implementation engineers in the development of custom mobile applications and technical workflows.
- Define test strategies and perform quality assurance to ensure integrated applications meet specific customer requirements.
- Provide strategic guidance on SAP best practices and serve as a trusted advisor for mobile inventory management initiatives.
- Support project managers by identifying technical risks and developing mitigation strategies for complex deployments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of five years of experience designing and implementing SAP-integrated solutions for supply chain or manufacturing.
- Strong functional expertise in SAP modules including WM, EWM, IM, MM, and SD.
- Technical understanding of SAP integration methods such as RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, or APIs.
- Proven ability to write technical specifications and develop comprehensive business requirements.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior management and stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Professional SAP certifications in Inventory, Manufacturing, or Warehouse Management modules.
- Experience with additional ERP ecosystems such as Oracle Cloud, JD Edwards, or Deltek.
- Familiarity with emerging data collection technologies like RFID and IoT.
- Background in Business Process Re-engineering and formal software development life cycles.
Work environment
- This is an on-site position based at the company headquarters in El Dorado Hills, California.
- You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values technical innovation and teamwork.
- The role requires occasional travel for product demonstrations and client design sessions, typically less than 20% of the time.
- Standard working hours are approximately 40 hours per week with a focus on project-based milestones.
