Responsibilities

Lead software and systems engineers on projects and remain directly accountable for service uptime.

Own end-to-end availability and performance for key services.

Build automation to prevent recurring problems and automate responses to routine service conditions.

Mentor team members and demonstrate technical credibility through high-quality execution.

Manage global on-call rotations using a follow-the-sun model.

Design, write, and deliver software that improves service availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Eight years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.

Three years of experience managing people or teams.

Three years of experience leading projects.

Three years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.

Nice to Have

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience managing multiple user-facing services and the teams that develop and operate them.

Experience spanning code, networking, operating systems, and storage, including work with executive teams on strategy.

Experience building trusted partnerships across technical teams, recruiting engineers, and managing teams on large-scale projects.

This is an onsite, full-time role in New York, New York, United States.
