Responsibilities
Lead the engineering and deployment of technical solutions for complex product security and event detection challenges on connected aircraft.
Develop technical documentation and data deliverables in compliance with standard system security engineering processes.
Coordinate closely with security testing teams to evaluate detection coverage and assess analytical performance impacts.
Interface with internal engineering stakeholders and external customers to align detection capabilities with airworthiness requirements.
Support the design and execution of sustainment programs to protect the long-term safety and cyber resiliency of in-service aircraft.
Define and evaluate technical product security requirements for external subsystem and component suppliers.
Collaborate with industry bodies and government partners to refine risk standards and participate in advanced detection research initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
At least 9 years of professional engineering experience across disciplines such as systems engineering, physics, or mathematics.
Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, or network security.
Proven background working directly with or supporting teams in an active manufacturing or engineering environment.
U.S. Person status to satisfy mandatory U.S. export control compliance regulations.
Hands-on experience implementing network-based or host-based Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
Proficiency in scripting and data analysis using tools such as Python, SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or XML.
Active industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent cybersecurity credentials.
Experience with system administration for complex computing infrastructure and software development environments.
Work Environment
Position requires a 100% on-site work arrangement at company facilities in Seattle, WA or Everett, WA.
Standard full-time first shift schedule operating during core business hours.
Collaborative engineering setting requiring regular cross-functional interaction with manufacturing, testing, and supplier teams.
Work environment subject to standard aerospace export control procedures and a drug-free workplace policy.

Annual base salary range between $173,400 and $234,600, with additional variable compensation opportunities.
