Senior Product Engineer, Fullstack

Overview

In this role, you will join the Product Engineering team to build and scale developer-facing interfaces across core platform surfaces, including the Playground, Model Garden, Fine-Tuning, File Management, Batch Processing, and Model Evals. You will take end-to-end ownership of product features, from foundational data modeling and API integration to state management and refined user interface execution. You will operate in a high-ownership, fast-moving environment where you will directly influence product direction and system architecture. Working closely with cross-functional partners in product and design, you will instrument analytics, monitor performance, and ship reliable, high-value tooling for the broader AI development ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Ship user-facing improvements and new capabilities across core product surfaces such as the Playground, Model Garden, and Fine-Tuning workflows.
• Own product features end-to-end, managing everything from data modeling and API integration to UI implementation.
• Collaborate with engineering teammates to design and maintain clean, strongly typed, and reusable web interfaces.
• Implement product analytics and system monitoring to measure user engagement, track system health, and validate feature performance.
• Partner with design and product teams to translate developer requirements into intuitive and robust software solutions.
• Uphold high standards for frontend and fullstack code quality through structured code reviews and collaborative architecture discussions.

Qualifications

• Between four and seven years of professional experience building and shipping production software to end users.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals, with deep expertise in production React applications.
• Fullstack technical fluency across data modeling, API design, state management, and modern UI engineering.
• A pragmatic approach to software development, balancing rapid delivery with long-term system maintainability.
• Demonstrated curiosity about artificial intelligence, large language models, and their underlying architectures.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui.
• Familiarity with backend languages such as Go or Python.
• Hands-on experience with product analytics platforms like Amplitude and monitoring tools like Grafana.
• Experience developing and optimizing agentic workflows and automated CI/CD pipelines.

Work environment

• On-site work arrangement based out of the company office in San Francisco, California.
• Standard full-time schedule of approximately 40 hours per week in the Pacific Time zone.
