Responsibilities

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols across office areas, common spaces, perimeter grounds, and parking facilities to identify security risks and deter unauthorized activity.

Monitor facility access points, verify credentials for employees, contractors, and visitors, and maintain active situational awareness of guest movements.

Deliver professional customer service to on-site personnel and visitors while enforcing site-specific procedures and security protocols.

Respond promptly to alarms, security incidents, and critical emergencies in a calm and problem-solving manner.

Maintain detailed daily activity logs, write incident reports, and complete all required administrative documentation accurately.

Collaborate and communicate critical updates clearly with site leadership, team members, and client representatives.

Qualifications

At least one year of professional security-related experience.

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational credential.

Minimum age of 18 years for unarmed security positions.

Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws.

Compliance with any state or local security guard licensing requirements prior to employment.

Nice to Have

A valid driver's license for roles that may require vehicle operation.

Demonstrated experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or technology and telecommunications environments.

Strong verbal communication and conflict de-escalation skills.

Work Environment

Fully on-site role based at a facility in De Soto, Johnson County, Kansas.

Part-time schedule totaling approximately 24 hours per week across set shifts on Mondays (6:45 AM - 3:15 PM), Tuesdays (2:45 PM - 11:15 PM), and Sundays (6:45 AM - 3:15 PM).

Active physical environment requiring regular foot patrols, standing for extended periods, and perimeter inspections in varied weather conditions.
