Responsibilities
Greet and acknowledge customers promptly upon arrival, providing attentive and efficient service across the sales floor.
Assess customer needs by offering recommendations, providing detailed product information, and engaging in suggestive selling.
Operate cash registers, computers, and handheld mobile devices to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
Promote current store promotions, marketing campaigns, and special events to enhance the overall customer shopping experience.
Resolve customer inquiries and issues courteously, using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions or exchange opportunities.
Restock merchandise regularly from the stock room, maintaining organized and visually appealing displays according to layout standards.
Communicate customer feedback, service requirements, and restocking needs regularly to store leadership.
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of application.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and potential overnight shifts.
Strong verbal communication skills to interact professionally and courteously with customers and team members.
Comfort with or willingness to learn retail technology, including cash registers, scanners, and mobile devices.
Physical capability to remain standing for up to 80% of a shift and lift merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop to retrieve and organize inventory.
Previous experience working in customer service, retail sales, or cashiering environments.
Familiarity with suggestive selling techniques and inventory replenishment workflows.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
100% on-site retail store environment located in Rosenberg, Texas.
Temporary, part-time position structured around the holiday shopping period from October through January.
Fast-paced, high-energy team setting requiring constant movement between the sales floor and stock room.
Variable schedule that accommodates daytime, evening, and weekend hours based on store operational needs.
