Responsibilities

Engage with customers to assess their musical needs and provide expert recommendations across diverse gear categories.
Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets through proactive upselling and cross-selling techniques.
Maintain up-to-date, comprehensive product knowledge on guitars, recording gear, live sound systems, and accessories.
Build and nurture lasting relationships with local musicians, students, and audio enthusiasts.
Execute visual merchandising standards, restock inventory, and ensure store displays remain organized and inviting.
Support daily retail operations, including serving as a keyholder responsible for store opening and closing procedures.
Guide and mentor fellow retail associates in customer service best practices and sales techniques.

Qualifications

Demonstrated track record of success in retail sales or a related customer-facing role.
Solid working knowledge of musical instruments, sound equipment, and gear accessories.
Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for customer engagement and team collaboration.
Proven organizational skills and the resilience needed to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
Flexibility to work varied part-time schedules, including evenings, weekends, and peak retail hours.
Nice to Have
Two to five years of experience in retail sales, particularly within musical instruments or consumer electronics.
Prior experience as a retail keyholder or in a team-lead capacity.
Active background as a performing, recording, or hobbyist musician.
