Program Manager for Transition-Age Youth

Overview

In this role, you will provide leadership and clinical oversight for a dedicated team delivering psychosocial rehabilitation services to transition-age youth in Lancaster. You will act as a pivotal link between administrative strategy and frontline service delivery, ensuring that program operations align with the psychosocial rehabilitation model while meeting the complex needs of young adults navigating mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Transition-Age Youth team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Supervise and mentor staff members through recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Manage the program budget and expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility and timely adjustments.
• Oversee program documentation and quality assurance standards to maintain compliance with funding guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Director of Transition Age Youth Services to implement program goals and subcontracts.
• Facilitate team and community meetings to coordinate care and represent the agency's interests.
• Provide emergency coverage and crisis intervention support for program members as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field.
• Significant experience in staff supervision and leadership within a behavioral health setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Valid Class C driver’s license with proof of insurance and a clean driving record.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to obtain TB clearance and pass a background verification process.

Nice to have

• Four or more years of experience providing psychosocial services to disabled populations.
• Current licensure as a psychotherapist or nurse, such as an LMFT, LCSW, or RN.
• Existing LPS designation or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
• Experience with specific reporting tools such as CANS, LOCUS, and the NET Tool.

Work environment

• This is an on-site position based in Lancaster, California.
• You will work a standard 35-hour workweek, though some evening and weekend hours may be required.
