Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience by providing high-quality service and maintaining a fresh, organized produce department. You will work on the front lines of retail operations, ensuring that customers find a clean and welcoming environment every time they visit. By monitoring quality standards and assisting with department displays, you play a vital role in the store's daily success. You will support the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals through diligent inventory management and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience for every guest.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment within the produce department to encourage customer returns.
• Assist the department manager in reaching established sales and profit goals.
• Monitor and uphold all quality assurance standards for fresh produce and food handling.
• Execute the Customer 1st strategy by engaging with shoppers and addressing their needs.
• Stock and rotate produce items to ensure maximum freshness and visual appeal.

Qualifications

• Possess basic mathematical skills for inventory and transactional tasks.
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and staff.
• Maintain a current food handlers permit as required by local health regulations.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced retail environment and manage work-related stress effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining safety and sanitation standards at all times.

• This is an on-site position located at the retail store in Chicago Heights, Illinois.
• You will work in a fast-paced grocery retail environment involving frequent customer interaction.
• The role is a part-time position requiring approximately 40 hours of work per week.
