Responsibilities
Diagnose complex plumbing issues, identify leaks, and clear clogged drains across facility systems.
Measure, cut, bend, and assemble pipes while installing water heaters, toilets, and specialized plumbing fixtures.
Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure all installations adhere to local building codes and safety standards.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on piping networks to prevent operational downtime.
Provide cost estimates, explain repair options clearly, and coordinate work schedules with department supervisors.
Document maintenance tasks and complete basic data entry to log completed work orders accurately.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid state-issued Journeyman or Master Plumber license.
Minimum of two years of professional experience in commercial or residential plumbing.
Demonstrated ability to safely operate and maintain standard commercial plumbing tools and equipment.
Basic computer literacy and data entry skills for work order tracking.
Completion of a formal plumbing apprenticeship or trade school certificate program.
Three or more years of hands-on plumbing experience in commercial or clinical laboratory settings.
Work Environment
Full-time, on-site role located at the facility in Tampa, Florida.
Standard working schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotating weekends and on-call availability as needed.
Collaborative trades environment requiring coordination with facility managers and independent execution of repairs.
Physical position requiring lifting, bending, pipe fitting, and active movement throughout the facility.
