Responsibilities
Define the technical direction and platform engineering strategy for the Akeneo PIM implementation, serving as the final technical decision-maker.
Guide the end-to-end migration and transition from Informatica P360 to Akeneo, including data migration planning and integration architecture.
Lead and manage a cross-functional engineering team comprising tech leads, software engineers, business analysts, product owners, and system administrators.
Review solution designs, API strategies, enrichment rules, and custom Akeneo extensions to ensure standardized and reusable patterns.
Oversee vendor deliverables and Statements of Work (SOW) with external partners during system maintenance and migration phases.
Validate technical readiness for software releases and system cutovers while maintaining high standards for platform quality and reliability.
Provide hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting to unblock technical and integration issues across the development lifecycle.
Qualifications
Demonstrated engineering leadership experience managing platform, PIM, or Master Data Management (MDM) software engineering teams.
Hands-on technical background and architectural experience working with the Akeneo platform.
Proven expertise in software architecture, solution design review, API design, and enterprise system integration.
Demonstrated experience executing complex, system-to-system platform migrations and data workflow transitions.
Strong proficiency in delivery management, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release readiness governance.
Prior technical experience maintaining or migrating away from Informatica P360 environments.
Familiarity with vendor management and managing external technical contractor deliverables under SOW arrangements.
Experience operating within large-scale industrial manufacturing, IoT, or heavy-machinery digital ecosystems.
Work Environment
On-site position based in Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, Broomfield, CO, or Irving, TX.
Standard full-time schedule within a collaborative digital engineering organization.
Role requires up to 10% business travel as needed.
