Responsibilities
Perform blood collections on patients across all age groups using standard venipuncture and capillary techniques.
Collect and prepare specimens for diagnostic panels, drug screenings, paternity tests, and alcohol screenings.
Accurately input patient demographics, insurance, and billing information into the laboratory database in a timely manner.
Process patient payments, collect co-pays, and resolve initial billing queries at the front desk.
Prepare, package, and log all collected laboratory specimens to ensure integrity during transport and testing.
Maintain organized, compliant records and tracking logs of all patient visits and specimen handoffs.
Travel to alternate regional sites or client offices when operational needs require additional coverage.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background.
Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency, completion of an approved phlebotomy training program, or at least three months of professional phlebotomy experience.
Ability to successfully pass a standardized color blindness examination.
Strong verbal and written communication skills paired with a track record of delivering patient-focused customer service.
Possession of reliable transportation and the flexibility to accommodate overtime when required.
One or more years of hands-on experience performing venipunctures in a high-volume clinical or laboratory setting.
Prior experience managing medical billing systems, patient intake, and laboratory data entry software.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision while handling diverse patient demographics.
Work Environment
On-site work arrangement based at a Patient Service Center or client office location in South Burlington, Vermont.
Standard working schedule operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotating Saturday shifts.
Dynamic clinical setting requiring occasional local travel to nearby partner sites or medical facilities.
Collaborative and fast-paced healthcare environment centered on patient comfort and procedural accuracy.

Hourly compensation ranging between $17.75 and $21.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and credentials.
