Responsibilities
Deliver expert pharmacy consulting services to patients regarding prescription usage, potential side effects, and cost-effective medication options.
Administer clinical services including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and comprehensive medication therapy management.
Ensure medication safety and accuracy during prescription compounding, dispensing, and verification processes.
Maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and legal standards.
Mentor, coach, and supervise pharmacy technicians and support team members within the daily workflow.
Resolve insurance billing claims, coverage issues, and prescription coordination challenges.
Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
Maintain active and unrestricted pharmacist licensure within the practicing state or district.
Possess certification as an immunizer, or demonstrate the ability and willingness to attain certification within 90 days of hire.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of medication therapy management, drug safety, and regulatory compliance.
Possess at least one year of experience as a pharmacist within a retail community pharmacy environment.
Demonstrate prior experience utilizing enterprise retail pharmacy software and dispensing technology.
Exhibit proven leadership abilities in supervising pharmacy technicians and resolving complex insurance claims.
