Responsibilities

Engage customers through proactive conversations and scheduled appointments to identify financial goals and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
Process new account openings, routine service inquiries, and consumer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
Perform cash handling and teller transactions while upholding strict operational standards and risk controls.
Guide customers in adopting digital banking tools and mobile technologies to enhance their self-service experience.
Drive branch growth by identifying customer opportunities and coordinating referrals to licensed bankers or specialized financial partners.
Maintain regulatory compliance by adhering to internal governance, lending standards, and risk mitigation procedures.

Qualifications

At least six months of customer interaction experience, or equivalent demonstrated through training, education, or military service.
Ability to obtain and maintain SAFE registration upon employment, satisfying all CFPB and Loan Originator requirements.
Willingness and availability to work a branch schedule that includes Saturdays.
Ability to pass required character, financial fitness, and background screenings for loan origination activities.
Nice to Have
Prior customer-facing experience within financial services or another structured, highly regulated environment.
Demonstrated ability to initiate customer outreach via phone or email to build relationships and generate business.
Familiarity with digital banking applications and the ability to coach customers on adopting self-service tools.
Strong collaborative problem-solving skills and experience escalating compliance or operational risks.

Work Environment

On-site branch environment based in the Roanoke and Vinton, Virginia areas.
Standard full-time 40-hour weekly schedule that includes regular Saturday shifts.
Frontline, customer-facing collaborative setting requiring continuous multitasking between teller line duties and desk-based banking services.
