Responsibilities
Monitor security systems and multi-screen video feeds continuously to detect suspicious activity or unauthorized entry.
Document all observed incidents and operational events by drafting comprehensive, detailed reports.
Respond swiftly to on-site alarms, system malfunctions, and potential security threats.
Conduct regular physical patrols of the premises to verify facility integrity and safety.
Manage access control points and verify the identity of visitors entering secure areas.
Analyze monitoring platforms to identify equipment vulnerabilities and escalate technical issues.
Collaborate directly with local law enforcement and emergency response teams during critical incidents.
Qualifications
You must possess an active and valid New Jersey SORA certification.
You must hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
You must demonstrate strong computer literacy and technology proficiency.
You must have sharp visual acuity, strong attention to detail, and solid written communication skills for incident reporting.
You must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully pass background checks and drug screenings.
Prior hands-on experience working with CCURE 9000 security management software is preferred.
Familiarity with Genetec video management systems is a plus.
Previous professional background in security operations, law enforcement, or military service is highly valued.
Work Environment
This is a 100% on-site role based in Dayton, New Jersey.
The position operates on a set part-time overnight schedule from Friday through Sunday, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM (24 hours per week).
You will work primarily within a security operations center or control room environment scanning surveillance monitors alongside active site patrols.
The role requires sustained focus and concentration during overnight hours with minimal day-to-day travel.
