In this role, you will join an established multidisciplinary team within Sutter North Medical Group to provide comprehensive care for patients dealing with acute and chronic pain. You will work in an outpatient clinic setting in Yuba City, collaborating closely with a board-certified Pain Management physician to manage diverse conditions such as spinal disorders, musculoskeletal syndromes, and neuropathic pain.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive new and return patient evaluations to assess acute and chronic pain conditions.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
- Perform clinic-based procedures consistent with your specific medical training and clinical experience.
- Manage and monitor patient medications to ensure safety and therapeutic effectiveness.
- Provide extensive patient education regarding pain management strategies and lifestyle modifications.
- Coordinate care across a multidisciplinary environment to improve patient quality of life.
- Participate in clinical initiatives focused on improving patient access and quality of care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Active California license or the immediate ability to obtain one prior to starting.
- National board certification through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented care model.
- Demonstrated communication skills for effective patient education and provider collaboration.
Nice to have
- Prior clinical experience in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine.
- Experience working in a specialized outpatient pain management or orthopedic setting.
- Familiarity with various clinic-based procedural interventions for chronic pain.
