Responsibilities
Partner with cross-functional leadership across science, engineering, and product to identify and prioritize strategic ML and AI initiatives.
Lead the end-to-end design, experimentation, training, and optimization of machine learning and artificial intelligence model architectures.
Establish scientific quality standards and robust criteria for dataset selection, data curation, and proof-of-concept validation.
Collaborate with software and ML engineers to oversee code reviews, maintain repository standards, and deploy production-grade models.
Define operational performance and user feedback metrics to evaluate deployed solutions and inform long-term technical strategy.
Author technical documentation, patents, and white papers while publishing research and presenting at premier academic and industry conferences.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the team, actively contributing to talent assessment and hiring decisions.
Qualifications
Extensive experience of 10 or more years in applied scientific research, data modeling, and machine learning system development.
Proven track record of designing, training, and deploying scalable AI and machine learning architectures into production environments.
Demonstrated ability to establish technical strategy, lead complex research programs, and manage project timelines and deliverables.
Strong proficiency in scientific programming, statistical modeling, version control best practices, and code review standards.
Excellent communication skills with documented experience articulating deep technical and research insights to cross-functional stakeholders.
Extensive record of research publications in top-tier conferences or journals, as well as keynote speaking engagements.
Direct experience authoring technical patents and leading formal industry or academic research collaborations.
Hands-on expertise with large-scale cloud infrastructure and AI compute optimization techniques.
Work Environment
Full-time on-site role based in the United States operating within a standard 40-hour work week schedule.
