Responsibilities
Manage the complete infrastructure design, build, and close-out process, including bidding, leveling, shop drawings, submittals, and mock-ups.
Translate business requirements into functional technology specifications and detailed structured cabling designs.
Coordinate with general contractors, architects, telecom providers, and security integrators throughout the construction and build-out phases.
Prepare coordinated engineering drawing sets, wiring schematics, labeling schedules, and project budget estimates.
Conduct on-site quality assurance walk-throughs, technical testing reviews, and final infrastructure turnover milestones.
Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to accelerate design documentation, identify recurring issues, and automate infrastructure analysis workflows.
Qualifications
Formal training or certification in infrastructure structured cabling engineering concepts along with at least 5 years of applied experience.
Demonstrated experience designing structured cabling systems for specialized environments such as trading floors, call centers, and multimedia broadcast studios.
Proven track record of independently developing processes, building consensus, and driving technical project execution across cross-functional teams.
Experience utilizing enterprise AI capabilities within engineering workflows to support analysis and documentation while maintaining data sensitivity.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical partners.
Active Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, BlueBeam, Visio, and JIRA.
Prior experience in IT service delivery and leadership within large-scale commercial or financial enterprise initiatives.
Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
Work Environment
On-site work environment based out of the New York, NY corporate office.
Domestic travel across the United States estimated at approximately 20% depending on active project initiatives.
Collaborative and matrixed team environment interfacing regularly with engineering, corporate real estate, and external contractors.
