Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot facility and HVAC systems, including air handling units, ventilation systems, and hot water treatment equipment.
Conduct mandatory HEPA filter testing and tracking within manufacturing cleanroom environments in adherence to strict compliance standards.
Perform rounds across cGMP and non-GMP facilities to identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues quickly.
Read and interpret blueprints, logic diagrams, and engineering schematics to perform precise repairs and system modifications.
Support plant operations with piping and valve installations, pipefitting, and welding activities as part of multi-craft support.
Document all maintenance activities thoroughly in standard operating procedure systems and participate in site safety audits and inspections.
Train peers and mechanics on HVAC equipment and contribute to continuous improvement efforts for ventilation systems.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, or facility maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and logic diagrams.
Strong functional knowledge of HVAC equipment and mechanical troubleshooting methodologies.
Effective written and verbal communication skills along with solid computer proficiency.
Permanent work authorization in the United States.
Active HEPA testing certification.
Prior maintenance experience within a biopharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with FDA regulations, Process Safety Management (PSM), and cGMP policies.
Work Environment
100% on-premise work environment located at the manufacturing facility in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
Scheduled on a 12-hour shift rotation operating from 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM.
Active physical environment requiring regular standing, walking catwalks, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Work takes place in both standard mechanical spaces and controlled cleanroom environments requiring specialized gowning.
