Responsibilities

Drive sales performance by engaging customers, identifying their musical needs, and recommending instruments, accessories, and audio gear.
Utilize cross-selling and upselling techniques to exceed personal and store revenue targets.
Mentor, support, and guide junior retail sales associates in customer service standards and sales techniques.
Execute keyholder responsibilities, including opening and closing the store and managing operational procedures as needed.
Maintain visual merchandising standards by organizing gear displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring an inviting store environment.
Build and sustain lasting relationships with local musicians, students, and audio creators to generate repeat business.

Qualifications

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a dynamic retail or customer service setting.
Strong foundational knowledge of musical instruments, live sound gear, recording equipment, and accessories.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor and influence peers effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for fast-paced customer engagement.
Flexibility to work retail store schedules, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts when necessary.
Nice to Have
Prior experience operating as a retail keyholder with cash management and store opening and closing duties.
Active background as a performing musician, audio engineer, or home studio producer.
Two or more years of specialized retail sales experience within consumer electronics or musical equipment.
