Part-time Cook

Overview

In this role, you will join the dietary team at a healthcare facility to prepare and serve high-quality meals for residents. Unlike a high-volume fast food setting, this position allows you to focus on the nutritional needs and comfort of individuals, ensuring that every dish meets specific dietary guidelines and food safety standards. You will play a vital part in the healthcare team by contributing to a dependable and thoughtful dining experience that directly impacts the residents' quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve all culinary dishes including entrees, salads, and desserts for lunch and dinner services.
• Document critical information regarding food production, quality control, and the fulfillment of resident nutritional requirements.
• Maintain all kitchen and storage areas in a sanitary and organized condition following established policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to support both routine dining and special culinary events.
• Follow all mandated safety and infection control practices as required by the State of Virginia.
