PRN Hospice Aide

Overview

In this PRN role, you will provide essential end-of-life care and emotional support to patients and their families within a home-based environment. You will serve as a vital member of the clinical team, ensuring that patients maintain dignity and comfort through attentive personal care, mobility assistance, and companionship during a deeply significant period of their lives.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with essential personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any significant changes to the supervising nurse immediately.
• Administer medications and specific treatments as directed by the healthcare team's established plan.
• Support patient mobility and positioning to enhance physical comfort and prevent the development of bedsores.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families to help them navigate the challenges of end-of-life care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided for insurance purposes and quality assurance.
