Responsibilities
Automate the provisioning of cloud security monitors, automated remediations, security baselines, and templates using pipeline engineering practices.
Implement core cloud security capabilities including identity and access management, data protection, vulnerability management, threat detection, and centralized logging.
Lead the creation and enforcement of compliance automation and policy-as-code in partnership with technical product analysts and managers.
Conduct penetration testing, red and blue teaming exercises, and gap analyses in coordination with cybersecurity and audit stakeholders.
Design and deploy dashboards, programs, scripts, and test suites to enhance incident response and cloud security monitoring.
Develop architectural prototypes and proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate the value and feasibility of emerging cloud security technologies.
Mentor and guide junior cloud security engineers while educating engineering teams on cloud standards and secure development practices.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of cloud development and support experience across Azure, AWS, or GCP with a Bachelor's degree, or at least 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.
Professional-level cloud certification in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Demonstrated expert-level knowledge across multiple cloud security domains including cryptography, identity access management, infrastructure security, and incident response.
Proven experience authoring and maintaining architectural design specifications, test plans, and system diagrams in an enterprise environment.
Strong technical leadership and communication skills with a track record of mentoring team members and collaborating with IT leadership.
Hands-on experience architecting and maintaining modular Terraform deployments integrated with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
Extensive experience architecting, securing, and operating containerized environments using Kubernetes.
Proficiency in multiple scripting and programming languages including Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, C#, Java, or JavaScript.
Industry-recognized cloud security certifications such as CCSP, CCSK, AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
Work Environment
Position is based on-site at the corporate headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
Standard full-time schedule of approximately 40 hours per week within the America/Chicago timezone.
Fast-paced, collaborative team culture situated within the enterprise Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations group.
Cross-functional collaboration with DevOps teams, product analysts, risk management, and cybersecurity specialists.

Base salary range between $138,207 and $172,758 per year, calibrated to experience and qualifications.
