Overview
In this leadership role, you will be the primary authority on pricing strategy and governance for an international food and beverage manufacturer. You will partner closely with senior leadership across multiple divisions to drive margin and profitability by developing sophisticated profitability models and analyzing raw material cost trends. Your work will directly influence high-level business decisions through data-driven recommendations and sales analysis. You will also act as a technical mentor to junior analysts, ensuring the accuracy of their work while safeguarding the integrity of pricing data within the company's ERP systems. Your position serves as a bridge between the sales and sourcing teams, requiring you to translate complex data into actionable insights that support national and international restaurant chains.
Responsibilities
- Lead the pricing analysis function by recommending policies and reviewing quotes against approved governance guidelines.
- Develop and maintain complex profitability models to support margin and revenue targets across various business divisions.
- Analyze commodity and raw material cost trends to inform and implement effective customer pricing strategies.
- Prepare and present regular sales performance analyses and trend reports to senior management and sales teams.
- Forecast key raw material requirements by integrating production data with current sales forecasts.
- Ensure data integrity within the company ERP systems and identify opportunities for pricing process improvements.
- Serve as a technical resource to junior team members by reviewing their modeling work and sharing best practices.
Qualifications
- You must have at least five years of professional experience in pricing, finance, or a related analytical field.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required for this management position.
- You need advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with complex financial modeling.
- You must possess strong communication skills and the ability to present technical findings to executive leadership.
- Experience working with ERP systems to manage and maintain large datasets is essential.
Nice to have
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in an analytical discipline such as Business or Finance is highly preferred.
- Technical proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Access will significantly enhance your ability to manage data.
- Previous experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry is a plus for understanding commodity trends.
Work environment
- The role is based at the corporate headquarters in Fresno, California.
- You will work a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend work required.
- The work arrangement is primarily in-office with hybrid flexibility available for a balanced routine.
- This position requires no regular travel and focuses on internal cross-functional collaboration.
