Responsibilities
Operate heavy-duty rearload collection trucks in compliance with company safety standards, OSHA rules, DOT regulations, and traffic laws.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting equipment conditions using the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.
Collect and completely empty residential waste and recyclable material containers along assigned daily routes.
Ensure customer service locations and pick-up staging areas remain clean and free of scattered debris.
Report route interruptions, blocked roadways, unsafe conditions, or customer service issues directly to dispatch and route managers.
Maintain end-of-day operational documentation, route records, and checkout logs.
Assist neighboring route drivers as needed to ensure all team service commitments are fulfilled.
Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with an air-brake endorsement.
At least one year of experience operating a commercial vehicle requiring a CDL, or equivalent military driving experience within the last seven years.
Minimum age of 18 years and legal authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to communicate with dispatch, interpret traffic signs, and maintain records.
Successful completion of pre-employment physical exams and drug screenings.
High school diploma or accredited GED equivalent.
Prior experience navigating residential routes or operating rearload waste management trucks.
Possession of a REAL ID or TSA-approved identification for access to regulated facilities.
Work Environment
Fully on-site driving position based out of the Medley, Florida facility.
Standard working shift runs Monday through Saturday with an early morning start time at 5:00 AM.
Physical role involving repeated standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and outdoor exposure across varied weather conditions.
Designated safety-sensitive role subject to ongoing, post-incident, and random drug and alcohol screenings.
