Lead Direct Support Professional

Overview

In this leadership role, you will provide critical support to individuals in their own homes, helping them develop independent living skills and improve their overall quality of life. You will balance direct personal care with administrative lead duties, ensuring that residents receive the medical attention and daily assistance they need to thrive in a community setting. You will also take on a supervisory support role, managing staff schedules, overseeing medical appointments, and coordinating household logistics such as grocery shopping and activity planning. Your work will be central to fostering a safe, respectful environment where the individuals you serve can reach their personal goals and maintain their autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming for persons served.
• Manage staff scheduling and serve as a backup for the supervisor to ensure consistent coverage and care.
• Execute and oversee all medical appointments and perform medication reviews during every shift.
• Help individuals develop independent living skills and provide transportation to community activities.
