Overview
In this position, you will serve as the primary representative for the leading impulse merchandising company in North America. You will be responsible for enhancing the shopping experience by strategically placing products, building eye-catching retail displays, and ensuring that stores within your community are stocked with high-demand items. Your work directly impacts sales performance by managing the visibility of products in high-traffic areas of the store. You will operate as a self-starter, balancing independent tasks with professional collaboration alongside store management. By implementing precise plan-o-grams and maintaining strong relationships with business partners, you will ensure retail operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role offers a predictable schedule and the opportunity to work in a variety of retail environments while representing a data-driven merchandising leader.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with in-store management to ensure seamless operational execution.
- Execute merchandising resets and implement plan-o-grams to maintain brand standards and product visibility.
- Build and maintain retail displays that showcase impulse products in high-traffic store locations.
- Manage the placement of impulse items on specialized hardware such as clip strips and J-hooks.
- Monitor inventory levels and provide feedback on product performance to maximize regional sales goals.
- Travel between multiple store locations within your assigned territory to perform routine merchandising tasks.
- Document and report on store conditions and completed tasks using provided company software or tools.
Qualifications
- Ability to reside within 20 miles of Tyler, TX, to ensure reliable coverage of the assigned territory.
- Physical capacity to stand and walk for 3 to 8 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Comfort performing repetitive physical movements including crouching, bending, twisting, and hand movements.
- Strong communication skills necessary to interface effectively with retail business partners.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle a route independently.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between various job sites.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a retail, grocery, or merchandising environment involving plan-o-gram execution.
- Ability to quickly learn new digital reporting tools and merchandising software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach to changing retail environments.
Work environment
- On-site role requiring travel to various retail storefronts throughout the Tyler, Texas area.
- Part-time schedule of approximately 22 to 25 hours per week during daytime business hours.
