Overview

In this role, you will act as a critical technical expert for Phoenix Mechanical, a leader in the Westchester County HVAC industry. You will be responsible for performing high-quality repairs and maintenance on a wide range of heating and cooling equipment while ensuring all work meets rigorous company standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled maintenance and complex repairs on residential HVAC systems within established time frames.
• Troubleshoot and rectify potential mechanical and electrical issues on-site to ensure optimal system performance.
• Educate homeowners on system operations and provide professional recommendations to address their specific HVAC concerns.
• Document all completed work, parts used, and technical findings accurately using company reporting systems on a daily basis.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service to enhance the company's reputation and foster repeat business.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including strict safe driving practices and the proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Participate in ongoing training seminars to remain current with the latest HVAC hardware and software developments.

Qualifications

• You must hold a high school diploma or an equivalent educational credential.
• A valid driver's license with a consistently clean driving record is required for this mobile service role.
• You need to demonstrate the physical ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong technical knowledge of heating and cooling systems and the ability to work independently are essential.
• You must possess excellent active listening and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers.

Nice to have

• Over five years of professional experience in the HVAC service industry is highly preferred.
• Possession of an EPA Universal Certification is strongly desired for handling refrigerants.
• Completion of an OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Course is a significant advantage.
• Experience with modern high-efficiency HVAC technology and digital diagnostic tools will make your application stand out.

Work environment

• This is a full-time, on-site position based out of the Elmsford, New York service center.
• Your work will primarily take place in residential settings, requiring travel to customer locations throughout the region.
• You will operate a company vehicle and must adhere to strict safety standards while in the field.
• The role involves a mix of independent field work and collaborative troubleshooting with a wider technical team.
• Standard hours are typically 40 hours per week, with daily reporting of completed tasks required.
