Nordstrom

Department, Clothing & Shoe Stores

Apt Insight

They offer a well-established retail legacy with strong corporate benefits, but operational shifts create mixed experiences across stores and corporate offices. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, they operate as a giant in the department store and fashion apparel space. With tens of thousands of staff nationwide, their scale spans luxury full-line stores, off-price Rack locations, and digital platforms. Following a multi-billion-dollar deal to go private alongside El Puerto de Liverpool, the business is reshaping its retail and e-commerce models away from public-market pressures.
