Responsibilities
- Perform routine mechanical inspections on turbine components including blades, hubs, and gearboxes.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and braking systems using digital diagnostic tools.
- Collect turbine data for testing and analysis of operational efficiency.
- Replace worn or malfunctioning components such as sensors, motors, and gearbox filters.
- Document all maintenance activities and safety inspections in centralized reporting systems.
- Maintain high-voltage electrical systems and underground transmission cables.
- Manage site safety by enforcing rigorous fall protection and lockout-tagout procedures.
Qualifications
- Completion of a postsecondary program in wind energy technology or a related technical field.
- Certification in Global Wind Organisation safety standards including working at heights and manual handling.
- Valid driver license for traveling between remote turbine sites and regional hubs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading technical blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Physical capability to climb vertical ladders exceeding two hundred feet multiple times per shift.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and heavy machinery maintenance protocols.
Nice to have
- Advanced certification in composite blade repair and fiberglass restoration.
- Experience with specific turbine manufacturer platforms such as Vestas, GE, or Siemens Gamesa.
- Prior background in industrial high-voltage electrical work or heavy equipment mechanics.

- Work is performed primarily outdoors at heights ranging from 200 to 400 feet.
