Strategic Disability Consultant
Advising organizations on systemic disability inclusion strategies and high-level policy reform to enhance accessibility.
Overview
This career centers on transforming organizational culture and infrastructure to be inherently accessible rather than reactive. The daily workflow alternates between high-level policy drafting and technical auditing of physical or digital environments. It requires a deep understanding of the intersection between legal compliance, such as the ADA or EAA, and the social model of disability to create environments where diverse talent can succeed without barriers.
The rhythm of the work is often project-based, involving intensive discovery phases followed by long-term implementation oversight. Professionals in this field solve complex problems related to architectural standards, digital interface design, and inclusive recruitment pipelines.
