Overview

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize new equipment designs using computer-aided design software to meet specific performance targets.
• Conduct extensive material stress tests and impact simulations to ensure product durability and safety compliance.
• Analyze biomechanical data from athlete trials to refine the ergonomics and functionality of prototypes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to select appropriate production methods and sustainable material sources.
• Manage the development timeline from initial sketch through to final production-ready specifications.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in smart textiles and integrated sensors for wearable performance tracking.
• Present technical reports and validation data to stakeholders to justify design decisions and investment.

Qualifications

• A bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, or industrial design is essential.
• Proficiency in professional 3D modeling and simulation software is required for structural analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in laboratory testing environments and data collection methodologies is necessary.
• Deep technical knowledge of polymer chemistry, textiles, or metallurgy is fundamental to the role.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and the principles of kinesiological movement is required.
