Responsibilities
- Conduct forensic audits of financial records to identify patterns of criminal activity and tax evasion.
- Execute search warrants and seizures of physical and digital evidence in accordance with federal law.
- Perform undercover operations and surveillance to gather intelligence on criminal organizations.
- Interview witnesses and subjects to obtain testimony regarding financial transactions and illegal operations.
- Prepare comprehensive investigative reports for the Department of Justice to support federal prosecutions.
- Testify as expert witnesses in federal court proceedings regarding financial evidence and investigative findings.
- Collaborate with international and local law enforcement agencies on multi-jurisdictional financial crime cases.
Qualifications
- Completion of a bachelor's degree that includes at least 15 semester hours of accounting and 9 hours of related subjects.
- Successful completion of the Criminal Investigator Training Program at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
- United States citizenship and the ability to maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Passing a rigorous medical examination and meeting strict physical fitness standards for federal law enforcement.
- Valid driver's license to operate government-owned vehicles during investigative activities.

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or a master's degree in accounting or forensic finance.
- Proficiency in secondary languages relevant to international financial investigations.
