- Install and calibrate micro-hydro turbines, governors, and power electronics for battery or grid integration.
- Execute civil works including the construction of small diversions, settling tanks, and equipment pads.
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on existing mechanical and electrical hydropower components.
- Advise clients on regulatory compliance, water rights, and environmental permits required for installation.
- Test and verify system performance against projected energy outputs and safety standards.
Qualifications
- A formal background in electrical or mechanical engineering with a focus on renewable energy systems.
- Relevant state licensing for electrical installation and specialized certifications in hydropower technology.
- Extensive experience operating surveying equipment and interpreting hydrologic data sets.
- Proficiency in reading technical blueprints and fluid dynamic modeling software.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy physical labor in rugged and remote outdoor conditions.
