Power Platform Consultant
Architecting business solutions through low-code application development and automated enterprise workflows.
Overview
This career centers on the rapid delivery of functional business software without the extensive timelines of traditional custom coding. Consultants spend their days translating abstract operational pain points into technical logic, building interfaces for data entry, and configuring automated triggers that move information between disparate systems. The rhythm of the work is project-based, often moving from discovery workshops and prototyping to deployment and user training cycles.
Success in this field requires a blend of systems thinking and consultative communication. The work feels like solving a series of structural puzzles, where the goal is to create the most efficient path for data to travel across an organization. Professionals who thrive in this role generally enjoy immediate feedback loops and have a natural aptitude for logical structures, relational databases, and interface design.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end technical architectures using Power Apps, Power Automate, and the Dataverse.
- Conduct discovery sessions with stakeholders to document functional requirements and business process maps.
- Build custom connectors to integrate third-party APIs with the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Configure complex security models and environment strategies to ensure data governance and compliance.
