Responsibilities
- Connect and disconnect sections of drill pipe using power tongs and manual wrenches.
- Clean and maintain the drill floor and associated machinery to prevent operational delays.
- Assist the derrickhand with the mixing of drilling fluids and chemicals for wellbore stability.
- Inspect hand tools and safety equipment for signs of wear or mechanical failure.
