Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive retail strategies for on-site stores and global e-commerce platforms.
- Identify and negotiate licensing opportunities for museum-owned intellectual property and artwork.
- Manage relationships with third-party manufacturers and distributors to ensure product quality and ethical sourcing.
- Collaborate with curatorial teams to ensure merchandise accurately represents the historical or artistic context of the collection.
- Oversee departmental budgets, financial forecasting, and profit and loss reporting for all commercial activities.
- Define brand guidelines for the use of the institution's name and likeness in commercial partnerships.
- Direct the visual merchandising and inventory management teams across multiple physical locations.
Qualifications
- A bachelor degree in business administration, arts management, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in high-end retail management or brand licensing.
- Proven track record of negotiating complex intellectual property contracts and royalty agreements.
- Deep knowledge of inventory management systems and retail analytics software.
