Ministry Media Director

Overview

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical execution of live-streamed and in-person religious services and special events.
• Manage a team of technical staff and volunteers across audio, video, lighting, and stage design disciplines.
• Produce high-quality video content including promos, testimonies, and educational series for digital distribution.
• Maintain and upgrade all audio-visual equipment and broadcast infrastructure within the facility.
• Collaborate with ministry leaders to develop creative themes and visual assets for teaching series.
• Direct the organizations social media presence and website content strategy to engage the community.
• Develop and manage the annual media department budget for equipment procurement and software licensing.

Qualifications

• A bachelor degree in film production, communications, or a related technical field is standard.
• Extensive experience operating professional-grade digital cinema cameras and live switching equipment.
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Demonstrated experience in live sound engineering and digital audio workstation management.
• Proven ability to lead and train diverse teams of volunteers with varying skill levels.
• Deep understanding of the specific cultural and theological nuances of the religious organization served.

Nice to have

• Advanced certification in specific broadcast technologies or live sound systems.
• Experience in graphic design and motion graphics using After Effects or Photoshop.
• A history of successful project management for large-scale capital improvements in technical infrastructure.
• Professional experience in digital marketing or audience analytics.

Work environment

• Work is primarily conducted in a church sanctuary, production booth, and office setting.
• The schedule frequently requires working weekends and evenings to cover services and events.
