Overview

Responsibilities

• Identify and source investment opportunities by attending industry conferences and networking with research institutions.
• Conduct deep-dive technical due diligence on medical products, clinical trial data, and intellectual property portfolios.
• Construct complex financial models to project company valuations and potential returns on investment.
• Negotiate term sheets and investment structures to secure favorable positions for the venture firm.
• Serve as a board observer or director for portfolio companies to provide strategic guidance on commercialization.
• Monitor the performance of existing investments and prepare regular reports for limited partners.
• Facilitate exit strategies such as initial public offerings or acquisitions by larger pharmaceutical or medical corporations.

Qualifications

• An advanced degree in a scientific or medical field such as an MD, PhD, or MS in Bioengineering.
• Significant experience in investment banking, management consulting, or corporate development within the healthcare sector.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and the interpretation of financial statements.
• Deep understanding of the FDA regulatory pathway and healthcare reimbursement landscape.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships across multiple years.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting investment memos to committees.

• A Master of Business Administration from a top-tier institution with a focus on finance or entrepreneurship.
