Overview

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term virtual event strategy to support organizational growth and community engagement goals.
• Manage multi-million dollar event budgets and negotiate contracts with software vendors and production agencies.
• Lead cross-functional teams comprising marketing, technical production, and content strategy departments.
• Supervise the selection and implementation of virtual event platforms and integrated martech tools.
• Establish performance metrics and key performance indicators to evaluate the success and reach of digital events.
• Oversee the development of high-quality digital content and interactive experiences for diverse global audiences.
• Analyze attendee data and feedback to iterate on event formats and improve user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of seven years experience in event management with a significant focus on digital or hybrid formats.
• Proven expertise in managing enterprise-level virtual event platforms and streaming technologies.
• Advanced project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on strict deadlines.
• Experience managing large budgets and complex vendor relationships in a corporate environment.
• Strong technical proficiency in data analytics and marketing automation software.

Nice to have

• Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Digital Event Strategist (DES) accreditation.
• Experience managing events for a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
• Familiarity with 3D environment design or emerging metaverse technologies for corporate use.
• Background in video production or broadcast journalism.
