Director of Internal Communications & Culture

Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with the annual business plan.
• Partner with executive leadership to draft and distribute quarterly updates and crisis management communications.
• Design and manage programs that define and reinforce the organizational core values and culture.
• Measure the effectiveness of communication channels through data-driven engagement surveys and sentiment analysis.
• Oversee the management of internal platforms including intranets, Slack channels, and employee newsletters.
• Lead the planning and execution of all-hands meetings and company-wide cultural events.
• Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure consistent messaging throughout the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

• A minimum of ten years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or organizational development.
• Proven experience leading change management initiatives within a large or rapidly scaling organization.
• Advanced proficiency in writing and editing with a focus on narrative storytelling and brand voice.
• Expertise in using digital communication tools and content management systems for internal engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and advise on complex messaging strategies.
• A bachelor degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.

Nice to have

• A master degree in Organizational Psychology or Business Administration.
• Experience managing communications for a publicly traded company or during an IPO process.
• Certification in specific change management methodologies such as Prosci or ACMP.
• Previous experience managing a multi-regional or global internal communications budget.
