Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of enterprise-wide data models and warehouse architectures.
• Define technical standards for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration tools.
• Establish data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Evaluate and select third-party vendors for cloud infrastructure and database technologies.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align data strategy with long-term business goals.
• Mentor senior data engineers and architects on best practices for scalable system design.
• Review infrastructure costs and performance metrics to optimize cloud spending and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data engineering or architecture with a focus on large-scale distributed systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
• Demonstrated mastery of SQL and NoSQL database technologies and data modeling techniques.
• Proven track record of managing high-level technical roadmaps and architectural documentation.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Deep understanding of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and SOC2.
