Responsibilities

- Advise the executive board on the regulatory implications of new product developments and international partnerships.
- Manage relationships with external government agencies and regulatory bodies during formal investigations or reporting cycles.
- Develop and deliver training programs for engineering and operations staff regarding ethical conduct and trade compliance.
- Monitor global geopolitical shifts and legislative changes to update corporate policy proactively.
- Oversee the submission of license applications and voluntary disclosures to relevant federal departments.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, law, public policy, or a related technical field is essential.
- At least ten years of experience in regulatory compliance specifically within the aerospace or defense sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and FAA certification processes.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale audits and navigating federal oversight programs.
- A valid security clearance or the ability to obtain one for handling sensitive defense information.
Nice to have
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a Juris Doctor (JD) is highly preferred for senior leadership positions.
- Professional certification such as Certified United States Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO).
- Experience with specialized aerospace quality management standards like AS9100.
