Responsibilities
- Design and optimize power distribution layouts to ensure redundant supply to all critical server components.
- Manage large-scale thermal cooling systems to maintain optimal operating temperatures for high-density hardware.
- Oversee the physical installation and decommissioning of server racks and networking equipment.
- Monitor facility health using building management systems and environmental sensors to prevent outages.
- Develop and test disaster recovery protocols for physical infrastructure failures such as power grid loss.
- Coordinate with electrical and mechanical contractors for large-scale facility upgrades and expansions.
- Analyze energy consumption patterns to implement sustainability and cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications
- A bachelor degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Extensive experience with industrial uninterruptible power supply systems and backup generators.
- Proficiency in using Building Management Systems and Data Center Infrastructure Management software.
- Deep understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems specific to high-density computing.
- Knowledge of local and international electrical codes and data center safety regulations.
Nice to have
- Professional certification such as the Certified Data Center Design Professional or equivalent.
- Experience with liquid cooling technologies and advanced sustainable energy integration.
- Familiarity with network architecture and structured cabling standards like TIA-942.
