Responsibilities
- Translate operational requirements into detailed functional specifications for automated control systems.
- Develop and program logic for PLCs and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to manage industrial equipment.
- Design HMI and SCADA software interfaces to allow human operators to monitor and control processes.
- Conduct comprehensive factory acceptance testing to ensure systems meet safety and performance standards.
- Integrate plant-floor data with higher-level enterprise resource planning systems for real-time reporting.
- Supervise the installation and wiring of electrical control panels and field instrumentation.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex system failures in live production environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Proficiency in programming major industrial controller platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, or Schneider Electric.
- Demonstrated experience with industrial networking protocols like EtherNet/IP, Modbus, and Profinet.
- Deep understanding of electrical schematics and industrial safety standards such as NFPA 70 or IEC 61131.
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of an automation project from design through commissioning.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or certification as a Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST).
- Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity protocols for operational technology (OT) environments.
- Experience with high-level programming languages like Python or SQL for advanced data integration.
