Overview

Responsibilities

• Define the visual style and tone for all in-game cinematic content in alignment with the creative director's vision.
• Lead a team of animators and cinematic artists to execute high-quality sequences from storyboard to final render.
• Direct motion capture and performance capture sessions to ensure authentic character movements and emotional resonance.
• Collaborate with technical artists to optimize cinematic assets for real-time performance within the game engine.
• Review daily cinematic builds to provide actionable feedback on timing, camera work, and lighting.
• Coordinate with the narrative team to ensure that story beats are effectively communicated through visual storytelling.
• Establish and maintain the cinematic pipeline to ensure efficient production workflows across the department.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in film direction, cinematography, or cinematic animation within the game industry.
• Advanced proficiency with real-time game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Deep knowledge of traditional filmmaking techniques, including camera movement, lenses, and lighting.
• Proven track record of leading creative teams through at least one full production cycle of a major title.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual storytelling and narrative pacing.
• Degree in film production, animation, or a related creative field.

• Background in traditional storyboarding or concept art to facilitate early visual development.
